Uzumaki Clan

The Uzumaki clan (うずまき一族, Uzumaki Ichizoku) was a prominent clan in Uzushiogakure. They were also distant relatives of the Senju clan and thus both clans were on good terms; an alliance that extended onto their Hidden Villages -Konohagakure and Uzushiogakure.

The shinobi of Konoha integrated Uzushiogakure's symbol onto their uniforms and flak jackets as well as on the shoulders of their uniforms as a sign of friendship and goodwill between the two villages, and continue to do so to this day, in memory of their friendship even years after Uzushiogakure's destruction.

Members of this clan were very knowledgeable of fūinjutsu. This reputation earned them renown and fear worldwide, which eventually led to the destruction of Uzushio, and the rest of the Land of Whirlpools during the era of Shinobi World Wars. With the destruction of their homeland, the survivors fled the country going into hiding scattered all around the world.

The members of this clan possess incredible longevity. One notable case is that of Mito Uzumaki, who lived from before the founding of Konoha well into the term of the Third Hokage's reign. This vitality was the reason Kushina Uzumaki survived the extraction of her tailed beast, though she was greatly weakened.

Desa para shinobi

Dalam manga Naruto, desa para shinobi atau desa-desa tersembunyi adalah desa-desa ninja yang berperan sebagai kekuatan militer untuk negara mereka. Desa desa ini disebut desa tersembunyi karena berada jauh dari pusat peradaban negara tempat desa itu berada. Setiap negara menaungi satu desa; contohnya Konohagakure dinaungi negeri api. Nama desa dan negeri yang menaungi mereka tidak selalu sama, contohnya negeri api menaungi desa daun, negeri angin-desa pasir, negeri air-desa kabut, negeri petir-desa awan dan desa tanah menaungi desa batu. Setiap desa tersembunyi menjaga perekonomiannya dengan melatih warga negaranya untuk menjadi ninja mulai dari usia kecil. Mereka digunakan sebagai kekuatan dalam berbagai misi, yang kemudian, mereka akan dibayar setiap kali melakukan misi-misi tersebut, dari mencabuti rumput liar untuk sebuah single payment hingga 'gaji tetap' dari negara dimana mereka tinggal apabila mereka menjadi tentara ketika seandainya negara terlibat perang.
